Our Story
NISSI was officially registered in 2021 with the aim of supporting bright and needy boys living in informal settlements. The idea behind NISSI was inspired by a life-changing encounter in 2017, when the founder met a vulnerable family with four children who had just lost their mother and sole breadwinner after a short illness. At the time, all the children were minors and faced an uncertain future.
Moved by their situation, the founder mobilized a few friends and well-wishers to support the family. Through education support, mentorship, and encouragement, the second-born child a boy excelled in school and eventually graduated from university in 2025 with a degree in Business Management.
This success story became the foundation and inspiration for NISSI’s mission: supporting bright and needy boys living in informal settlements so they too can realize their potential and become responsible, empowered members of society. Since then, NISSI has continued to support many other boys, witnessing positive transformation in their lives, families, and communities.
What We Do
NISSI Foundation CBO is dedicated to empowering bright and needy boys living in informal settlements by providing access to education, mentorship, and holistic support services that help them achieve their dreams and become agents of positive change in their communities.
NISSI’s support programs include educational assistance, mentorship, provision of dignity kits, and effective referral services to ensure the boys receive comprehensive care and opportunities for growth.
